In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AYSO Region 1441 in Castaic hosted “Region 1441 Gives Back.” Players showed their support by wearing pink socks while coaches, referees, parents and families joined in the “pink” spirit during their October 13 games.
Region 1441 also collected money to donate to The Circle of Hope Inc. a 501c3 non-profit corporation founded in 2004 by breast cancer survivor Colleen Shaffer. Circle of Hope, Inc. assists individuals who live, work or receive treatment for breast cancer in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The region collected $1500 to donate to the organization.
