Over 40 AAUW Members and Guests recently enjoyed dinner at Mimi’s Café and listened to Cathy Ritz, M.A., Chief Operating Officer Foundation and University Center Operations of College of the Canyons share the vision and goals of the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center.
This interesting and informative presentation highlighted the history of the University Center, the credential and degree programs available and the six partner universities: Brandman University (part of the Chapman University System), California State University, Bakersfield, California State University Los Angeles, California State University Northridge, National University and the University of La Verne.
Other AAUW events included the conclusion of the Speaker Series “Lifelong Learning” with Road Scholar David Schapt on February 23 and the 2013 Women In History presentations (Madame Marie Tussaud, Maria Montessori, Louise Arner Boyd, Marian Anderson, Maria Von Trapp, Janet Guthrie) in SCV schools starting in March.
