My dating life started slowing down, so I decided to give online dating another chance.  It took a couple weeks, but finally a nice lady answered my email.  She looked very pretty in her photos, and after reading her profile I felt there could be the possibility of a match.  She emailed me, and said that she had noticed me on the site a while ago.  Then she gave me her number, and we had a couple nice conversations.  We decided to meet for drinks, and I let her select the place.  Our schedules kept conflicting, so getting the date set up was a little chore.  Finally we set up the day, and time.  I told her I would call about an hour before, in case I had to work later.

About an hour before the date, I called to let her know I was on time.  That’s when she gave me the bad news, that she could not make it.  Something happened at home, and she was hoping to reschedule our date.  I guess I might have been a little upset, thinking she could have called me earlier if she was going to cancel.  Yes I know things happen at the last minute, but I could tell from the conversation, it was not a last minute problem.  Anyways I said sure let’s try again.
It took a few more days to get our schedules together, and then we set another date.  She picked a nice little restaurant, that had a great bar area for drinks and conversation.  When I arrived she was already there having a glass of wine.  Little did I know it was actually her second drink?  She looked as good as her photo, and I walked over and gave her a hug.  We talked for a while; she talked a lot about her kids, and her job.  Then I told her about my job, and about my kids, too.  The conversation seemed to go really well.  We talked and joked a little, never really getting into what our interests were.  It was a work night so we had to end it early.  We got up and walked to her car, where we hugged and said goodnight.  I asked her out again, and she said she was available that weekend.  I called her the next day and left a message thanking her, and asking about Saturday night.  I did not hear back till the next day, when she texted me, saying she did not think we were a match.
