Children’s Bureau is delighted to announce openings for individuals and couples who wish to become foster or adoptive parents.  You are warmly welcomed to participate in one of our monthly information meetings; next scheduled for Saturday, August 24 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Westfield Valencia Town Center, Community Room, 24201 W. Valencia Boulevard in Valencia.

Foster parents care for children of all ages, ranging from a few weeks or months, perhaps up to a year or so, with the aim of helping children reunify with their birth parents or helping them move to an adoptive family.  Adoptive parents also care for children of all ages, but make a lifetime commitment to these children.  Prospective foster and adoptive parents receive training, financial stipends, medical coverage for the children, and 24-hour consultation as needed.
Since 1904, Children’s Bureau has been a nonprofit community leader in the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.  More than 21,000 children and families are helped each year throughout Southern California with services that include school readiness, parenting classes, family resource centers, support groups, mental health counseling, foster care, adoption, and more.
Children’s Bureau has hundreds of foster and adoptive families who are currently part of our caring team and we look forward to meeting you to explore if this is a way for you to create or grow your family.
