Last year The Magazine of Santa Clarita, along with the Valley Industry Association, SCV Chamber of Commerce and SCV Economic Development Corporation recognized the entrepreneurial achievements of those in our valley at the first SCV Leadership Awards.  The event was a huge success with a sold out crowd of over 350.

This year, the festivities returned on Thursday, August 15.  The second annual SCV Leadership Awards were held at their normal venue – the Hyatt Regency Valencia hotel in Santa Clarita.
While award winners took center stage, Stevenson Ranch resident and co-anchor of KTLA 5 morning news, Chris Schauble served as host for the event.
There were two award winners for non-profit leadership — Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital and Single Mothers Outreach.  Bayless Engineering won Best Community Spirit; Verti-zzz won Innovation Product or Service; Camelot Movers won Family Owned Business; Egg Plantation won Small Business; Union Bank won Medium Business; and Princess Cruises won Large Business.  Also honored for business leadership was Rob Challinor for the William S. Hart Union High School District; and the restaurant Rustic Eatery with the Rising Star award.  As for entrepreneurial success, SOS Entertainment took home the evening’s final award.
Congratulations to all of the winners from The Magazine of Santa Clarita!  May the future bring you all great success.
