Growing up, Chris Simms, founder of Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, and his family would vacation in the breathtaking mountains of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Whether it was skiing in the winter or fishing in the summer, Chris will tell you that even today, it is the place he goes when he wants to get away and relax. When you are in any one of the Lazy Dog Café restaurants, you will see how Chris has tried to capture and recreate the feeling he gets when in Jackson Hole.

Where did the Lazy Dog Café name come from? One snowy afternoon, walking back into the lodge after a long morning on the slopes, Chris noticed a dog lying by the toasty fireplace. Commenting to his buddies on how much he loved his time hanging out there, he told them he wished everyone could enjoy life as much as that “lazy dog” by the fire.
The lodge has cold beer, hot chocolate, incredible food and great music, making it the place to be in town. Just like the lodge in Jackson Hole, the Lazy Dog offers the perfect environment for all ages, making the entire restaurant the place to be for a quick dinner with the family, a meandering meal with friends or a night out on the town!
Everything on the menu at Lazy Dog is made from scratch, created fresh and made daily in their massive kitchen. And it shows in the food.
The wok-fired calamari ($10.25) is flavorful and served with your choice of white or brown rice. And the beer battered fish ‘n’ chips ($15.95) are tender and flaky. Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar also serves the de rigueur burgers (starting at $8.50 for something basic), pizzas ($9.95 for a three cheese) and salads (not to miss is Maggie’s Snake River salad with cranberries and goat cheese for $8.55).
But those who need more convincing need only to check them out during happy hour. Food specials are divided into $3, $4, $5 and $6 and there’s a gem at each price point.  Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is located at 24201 Valencia Boulevard in Valencia. They are open Sunday 10 a.m. until 12 a.m, And Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12 a.m.
