The holidays are here, Santa Clarita, and so are the stars! Just the other day, I saw December’s most famous celeb, jolly Ol’ St. Nick himself at Westfield Valencia Town Center. Santa came to Awesometown, and was busy greeting the children who stopped to visit.
It’s been a great 2013, with many celebrity sightings reported over the last year. From country superstar Jake Owen to actors Jason Bateman, Ashton Kutcher, Mark Harmon, and LL Cool J and many more, it’s been quite a busy year. A highlight for me was meeting the talented Wynonna Judd and seeing her take stage at the Performing Arts Center. What an amazing night!
World famous English entrepreneur, Sir Richard Branson snapped a photo with Santa Clarita resident Alwyn Cosgrove. Rachel and Alwyn, who own Results Fitness in Santa Clarita, were invited to Richard’s private island, Necker Island, a few months back, where they spent a week with Richard and two time Olympic gold medalist Mo Farah, and UK comedian Jimmy Carr. Sir Richard Branson is best known for his ownership of the Virgin brand of over 360 companies including Virgin Atlantic Airways, Virgin Records and Virgin Mobile, to name a few.
It’s December, which means basketball season is in full swing! Just the other month, two of the Los Angeles Laker Girls made an appearance at the opening of Yogurtland in Valencia. Thank you to Craig Newman for submitting this fabulous photo! The Laker Girls perform at the home games for the Lakers entertaining crowds at halftime. They also make appearances at many other events and venues.
