Inner Circle is a Foster Family Agency with two offices located in the cities of Van Nuys and Palmdale. They provide many services ranging from trainings for potentially qualified foster parents to working with victims of crimes, just to name a few. But of all the services they provide, their main goal is to grant children that have gone through traumatic events, a safe and loving environment. Inner Circle serves foster and biological families that are working together to potentially grant a child a life and environment that will help them thrive in the long run.
As an intern at Inner Circle, I have gone from knowing nothing about Foster Family Agencies to learning hands on about the many services they provide. I have seen the positive impact that agencies such as this one make when they work with families and children that desperately need all the help they can receive. I truly believe that if it weren’t for agencies such as Inner Circle, many children would not have the opportunity they deserve to have a normal childhood and be happy. Their social workers, interns and staff work very hard to serve as many clients as possible, as difficult as it is considering that they are a non-profit agency.
Inner Circle is always looking for community members that consider themselves great role models, loving adults and welcome the idea of fostering a child. The impact that a foster parent makes in the life of a child cannot be put into words. They have the biggest job of showing a child that has gone through difficult situations that they are loved and are very special to someone. By opening your doors, you will receive the greatest reward to know that you have changed a child’s life for the better. Inner Circle does an excellent job in taking your hand and guiding you through the process of becoming a foster parent. If you know anyone that is also interested, please pass the word around.
