The 48th Annual Premier Volunteer Recognition Event, Santa Clarita Valley Man and Woman of the Year dinner, will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. Nominees for 2014 were presented at a recent Paparazzi Party.
The purpose of the Santa Clarita Valley Man and Woman of the Year Recognition is to honor men and women who have given outstanding volunteer service to the Santa Clarita Valley area.
The Committee, comprised of previous honorees, will select the Man and Woman of the Year from the nominees submitted.
Nominated for Woman of the Year are: Dorothy Bernier-DuVall, American Legion-Newhall/Saugus; Jill Bondy, Circle of Hope; Marianne Cederlind, Carousel Ranch; Sue Endress, Rotary Club of SCV; Cheryl Gray, SCV Boys & Girls Club; Linda Hafizi, HMNMH Foundation; Tracy Hauser, SCV Senior Center; Molly Hodson, Sunrise Rotary; Krissy McAfee, Action Family Foundation; Laina McFerren, Child & Family Center; Susan Reynolds, Domestic Violence Center and Boy Scouts of America; Michel Stallings, California Youth Chess League and Sean’s Fund; Karen Maleck-Whiteley, Zonta Club of SCV; and Doris Marie Zimmer, College of the Canyons Foundation.
