A few months ago, I was perusing an online dating site. I began expanding my search. Going outside the city of Santa Clarita. I was either exhausting all the single women out here, or most were not even online. There is a wealth of single people right here in Santa Clarita. Dating sites are lucky if they can get five percent of singles in an area.

It is time for Santa Clarita to realize that we need more for singles out here, like a single’s happy hour. This could be a story for another time.
In the meantime I emailed a lady I found online. She was a bit farther than I wanted to drive, but her profile was great, and her photos looked good. We emailed a few times, then she sent me her phone number. We talked a couple times, and hit it off great. We finally agreed to meet that Friday night. Finally it was Friday, and I was actually looking forward to the drive. I had a good feeling about this one. Oh I almost forgot to tell you, she lived in Victorville. Yes about an hour and a half away. The drive went pretty smooth, and the closer I was getting to Victorville, the more excited I was getting. I had no problem finding the restaurant, and I was a few minutes early. I sat in the waiting area, a couple minutes later she arrived. My jaw dropped! Not in a good way. The pictures must have been old. She looked anorexic. Now I like thin women, but she was beyond thin. We ordered drinks and a couple of appetizers. She ate like a horse, so I was baffled why she was so thin. We were there for a couple hours talking, but it was starting to get late, and I had a long drive home. So we walked to her car, and I gave her a gentle hug, I was worried I would hurt her. As I drove off, I wanted to get some coffee, so I stopped, elsewhere, at Jack in the Box. I walked in and ordered. There were four young boys about 12 years old sitting there with their skateboards. They were trying to put enough change together to buy something to share. Well I had not done a good deed in a while, so I turned to them and said get whatever you guys want, it’s on me. They were stunned, and from what I found out, very hungry. The date did not work out, but maybe I helped change some young kid’s outlook on adults.
