B&R Gallery is honored to have more than 20 original paintings by internationally acclaimed artist Bev Doolittle on display at our gallery on Sierra Highway in Canyon Country.  Bev Doolittle original watercolors are very rare, and to be able to see over 20 of these beautiful works in a single location is a real treat.  Her husband Jay Doolittle also has a painting on display and has collaborated with Bev on a couple of the paintings being shown at the gallery.   You can also view a display of Bev’s originals by going to www.bnr-art.com/doolitt/original.html .

Collectors love her narrative paintings, imaginative works in the tradition of Remington or Russell, which are filled with so much detail that you’d need hundreds or thousands of words to tell the same story.  Collectors are also attracted to earlier works like the “Grand Canyon,” an early watercolor featured here dating from the early ‘70s and currently on display at B&R Gallery.  The painting style is surprisingly loose and shows her composition skills that helped form her foundation for her more familiar works.  This painting was done before Bev was really discovered and you can see a photo of Bev painting it in “The Art of Bev Doolittle” book at B&R Gallery.
