The approaching holidays conjure up images of quality time spent with family and friends, of decked-out stores packed with gifts, and, of course, sugar-coated visions of sweet candies and festive cakes.  Clarice’s Cake and Candy Supplies wants to make all of your holiday dessert dreams come true.

Nanci Olmos, owner of Clarice’s Cake and Candy Supplies, has decorated cakes for over 40 years and celebrated 20 years in business in June.  She worked at an elementary school for 15 years and her love of children continues to guide her activities in the community.  For the last four years, she has served as chairperson of the group that creates the gingerbread houses for the Boys and Girls Club.  She has also been one of the participants of the Child and Family Center’s “Taste of the Town,” gaining a reputation for her chocolate-dipped strawberries.  Nancy’s love of teaching inspires her to do demonstrations for women’s group, youth groups and schools, as well as conducting chocolate classes for both Boy and Girl Scouts.

Clarice’s offers a complete line of cake decorating and candy making supplies in addition to classes for adults and children.  Educating novice bakers so they can create beautiful sugar art is a special focus.  Consider taking holiday classes and fun one-night classes. “Make It, Take It” classes are one-night-only classes where everything is provided.  Put on your apron and join the fun — in two hours you will go home with a tasteful treat.  Are you having a special event that needs the perfect centerpiece confection?  Clarice’s makes custom cakes that taste as good as they look.

Clarice’s prides itself on helping customers create beautiful sugar art or creating it for them.  You’ll love their cakes and candies because, as the owner of the cake shop says, “We bake with love.”

Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The shop is located at 22936 Lyons Avenue in Newhall.  For more information, please call 661-259-0352.
