Many of our customers have been caught in the “garage door trap” or the “curb trap”.  Well, there are several ways to avoid getting caught in these traps.  I’m going to provide several suggestions so that you won’t be a victim of bumper scratches again.
First, try hanging a tennis ball from the ceiling of your garage that is eye level and touches your windshield.

Every time you pull into the garage, you will know when to stop which is when the tennis ball touches the windshield.  Second, you can purchase a tire stop, a small rubber piece, which can be purchased at any auto parts store.  Another suggestion is an actual stop sign that lights up red when you are fully parked inside your garage.
As far as those concrete parking stops, I usually recommend my customers try and keep their front tire 12 to 18 inches from the stop.  This same distance applies when parking on the side of the road next to a curb.
We all know life is busy and at times we are in a hurry and accidents can happen.  If you are a victim of bumper scratches, please call our company for help.
