The partnership between Via Tucci, Single Mothers Outreach, and the Closet On Main is a perfect example of the non-profit and the private sector working hand in hand to empower and strengthen all involved. As a volunteer for The Closet On Main, Laurie Tucci Auger was able to help an organization she felt strongly about while learning more about the retail fashion industry that she has always had a passion for.
With Margo Hudson as the individual running The Closet, the opportunities for learning and mentoring have been endless.
Very recently a natural and ideal business partnership emerged from this relationship. By allowing Via Tucci to open within the Closet on Main, Single Mothers Outreach has provided the opportunity for a new, small business to open its doors in a very positive environment. In turn, owner Laurie Tucci Auger has returned the support through additional manpower, extended Closet hours, and a great deal of additional marketing and awareness opportunities. The ways in which this partnership will be able to have a positive impact in the community are endless. Most recently Auger has agreed to dance in this year’s Dancing With Our Stars event, representing Single Mothers Outreach. By voting for Auger you will be directly supporting and empowering single parents on their path towards self-sufficiency. Throughout the remainder of July and beginning of August all community members are invited to stop by and shop at The Closet On Main where proceeds of your purchase will go directly to Single Mothers Outreach / Dancing With Our Stars! There will also be high-end raffle items on display that could possibly be yours for the purchase of one (or more) $25 vote/raffle tickets!
