That’s right, Santa Clarita. The kids are heading back to school now that August has arrived. Seems like the summertime fun went by all too quick. Thanks for all your celebrity sightings. It’s always so much fun to see residents with their favorite celebs.

There’s no doubt you’ll recognize our first celebrity, after all he is Motley Crue’s drummer, Tommy Lee. Tommy’s rockstar career began with the band Suite 19 but in 1981 he, along with Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Vince Neil formed the heavy metal band Motley Crue. Motley Crue had several top selling albums including Girls, Girls, Girls, and Dr. Feelgood. The critically acclaimed and heavily tattooed drummer made a lot of headlines on and off the stage. In 2005, Tommy starred in his reality show Tommy Lee Goes to College. The rockstar was kind enough to snap a photo with Galpin Auto Sports Parts Director Mark Zolnoski.
At the age of 20, he was the youngest heavyweight boxing champion of the world. His massive strength and powerful punch earned him the nickname “Iron Mike”. Mike Tyson retired from boxing in 2005 and returned to the spotlight on the big screens, starring in a cameo role in the hit comedy The Hangover. In 2013, he returned to the ring as a world-class boxing promoter. The former heavyweight was seen at a Valencia News Stand a few months ago and was kind enough to take a photo with Santa Clarita resident Gabriela Melendez-Anderson.
