Nutritional experts are always recommending that we eat more leafy green vegetables, but we often fall short of our daily recommendations. An easy way to incorporate leafy greens into your diet is with a delicious green smoothie. It’s simple and tasty and all you need is a blender. Try drinking between one pint (two cups) and one quart (four cups) of green smoothies a day. Regular consumption of green smoothies will improve your digestion and elimination, your health and your energy. Green smoothies instantly eliminate food cravings and hunger. You will also see noticeable improvements in your skin tone and elasticity.
Basic Recipe:
One to two handfuls of leafy greens (baby mixed greens, kale, spinach, mint, basil, parsley, etc.)
Fresh or frozen fruit to taste, normally one to three pieces or handfuls (bananas, apples, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, lemon, orange, mango, watermelon, etc.)
Water to blend (1/2 cup or more, depending on your fruit)
Ice for texture (1/2 cup or more, depending on your fruit)
Additional supplements, as needed (ground flaxseeds, flaxseed oil, vitamins, etc.)

Your green smoothies should be delicious. Green smoothies are best enjoyed fresh, but they can be stored in canning jars in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Enjoy and join the green smoothie revolution.
