Ramen is a staple in Japanese Cuisine, and a dish I have been eating my whole life. I always say that ramen is Japanese soul food because there is so much tradition within this dish.
Throughout my travels in Japan, I was amazed by the heart and soul that went into each bowl and the ramen masters that had been perfecting their craft for years.
I aimed to learn as much as I could, and I have the upmost respect for these chefs.
I learned about all the components that go into forming the perfect bowl, and at Umaichi Ramen we aim to get it right. We’ve worked tirelessly on perfecting our broth and each bowl that comes out of our kitchen is the best it can be. From noodles to toppings, we paid attention to every detail.
I’m no stranger to the restaurant world, having worked at some of the most recognizable restaurants in Hawaii, Los Angeles, and Orange County. I always knew that I wanted to open up my own place in Santa Clarita (which I call home) and so you see, Umaichi Ramen has been a dream of mine for years.
We may be a new restaurant in town, but it brings me joy to see people enjoying their very first bowl of ramen, and already so many have come back and have become such loyal customers. As a business owner, there is no better feeling in the world.
Our menu is not limited to just ramen. We have appetizers meant for sharing, and sides that are the perfect accompaniment to any of our bowls.
I hope that you will come try Umaichi Ramen, and don’t forget to save room for dessert! Our “wow honey toast” can’t be missed.
