Get those backpacks ready and pack up those lunches, August is here! With school just around the corner, we asked our readers to send in their stories about why they love their teachers. We received so many wonderful submissions about amazing teachers, so here are a few of our favorites.
I Love My Teacher Because…
She is my friend. Her plays outside and has center time at school. She teaches you to work and sing songs. I Love Ms. Vicky because of Yeehaw Fridays and share day. She loves to give hugs and high-fives. She sits with me at lunch time and we giggle and tell stories. She likes to play with me marbles and likes to play the king cobra rattlesnakes with me. Ms. Vicky loves to read stories to the class and sing songs with us. She is the best girl ever. She is my favorite teacher ever. I LOVE her so much.

I Love My Teacher Because…
Who is Miss Cindy? Well, I think most of the Santa Clarita Valley knows who she is or at least have heard of her and what an extraordinary teacher she is.
Our children Amanda, Megan and Blake were very fortunate to have Miss Cindy as their Pre-School Teacher. She is amazing and will always hold a very special place in our hearts. I’ll never forget the first time I ever met her. It was the morning of 9-11 2001. My baby girl was starting pre-school on a very hard day. It was a very sad time and parents were having a hard time leaving their children. She was so sweet, caring and comforting. She made sure our children would be okay and made sure we knew we could stay if we wanted to. Miss Cindy teaches at Primetime Preschool at Canyon Country Park for the City of Santa Clarita. She has taught, guided, encouraged and loved our children for many years. She has a way with the children that is comforting and makes them want to learn. She had many special events such as her special Mother’s Day Tea, Bike Day, Rainbow Day, Visit to Lombardi Ranch to name a few. The most memorable of all three years with her, was the Patriotic Theme for Graduation in 2001. She goes above and beyond and Miss Cindy definitely needs to be recognized. She is an inspiration to all of us that were lucky enough to share our children with her.

I Love My Teacher Because…
Mrs. Piper is the best teacher because she did not just look at my messy writing and backwards letters and think I couldn’t learn. She got to know me in my mind but especially in my heart. She could see that I was smart and just learned a little differently from other kids. She never made me feel like I couldn’t do things and she always saw me like everyone else. I am so glad she was chosen my teacher because she was the perfect person that could teach me.

I Love My Teacher Because…
My name is Jessica and I’m in 3rd grade. My teacher is Sarah and she has been my teacher since kindergarten so she knows me very well. She knows that even though it’s hard for me to speak, that it’s still important for me to have a voice. So she helps me use my iPad during circle time, learning centers, and even lunch! Miss Sarah also knows that even though my body works differently than other kiddos, I still love to move and play with my friends. So she is working with our school to build a playground where kids of any ability can play. Miss Sarah knows that I’m smart and can learn but sometimes it takes longer or I need different kinds of help. She taught me so well that I got a “Star Achiever” award for our standardized testing last year. Miss Sarah believes in me, hopes for me, prays for me, and teaches me. But most of all, Miss Sarah knows I’m a kid just like any other kid. And that’s what I love about her the most.
