The wonderful time of the year has arrived in our life and within the life of our communities in Santa Clarita, wherein we have the opportunity to reflect about the many benefits we share. We can ponder the gifts of achievement this city affords us, in so many various arenas. We can ponder the gifts of achievement that have earned us the privileges we enjoy in the community where we live.
Thanksgiving and the Holidays bring to my mind the realities that are mine to enjoy with my family and friends. Beyond the personal thoughts, I think about my neighbors and community members who I may not personally know. I hope and trust that all persons in our community are able to recognize fully the gifts of abundance and security in their life. The observations I am capable to make would indicate opportunities to support community needs more fully, and in ways that only I am capable, however modest those ways may appear to another.
My experiences have revealed for every action there is reaction. I inquire of myself with respect to hope and trust: are these very important elements sufficient enough of an action, to create an adequately positive reaction for the benefit of the community where I live and breathe and have my being?
I think it is important and wise on my part to consider the personal cost for the concept of an “act of omission.” An “act of commission” is, after all readily well-defined as is the personal cost.
I invite you to fully experience a personal sense of gratitude during Thanksgiving and this Holiday Season in all the varied forms these observances are appropriate in your life. I invite you to explore, within your own personal sense of appropriate action, what would you hope and trust for, to the benefit of our greater community?
I hope and trust that your observations will reveal the opportunity that best serves a need, right here and right now, and that you have to share in the well-being of Santa Clarita and our citizens. May a sense of personal freedom enable you to act toward which what you can do. And may this Thanksgiving and holiday season reveal you as our gift to the communities of Santa Clarita.
Most definitely, celebrate your joys and create a new memory.
