On September 11, HandsOn Santa Clarita presented a two-part event, A Day of Service and Night of Remembrance. In the morning, volunteers gathered to support our local veterans and assisted with painting, planting and many more improvement projects at our local VFW and American Legion.
Volunteers were able to sign up in advance at www.handsonscv.org prior to the Day of Service. The second part of the two part event took place in the evening at Westfield Valencia Town Center to honor those who fell victim in the September 11 attacks.
HandsOn Santa Clarita’s mission is to assist in meeting community needs through volunteerism and service, connecting individuals, groups, and businesses to critical issues facing the community; allowing them to make a difference every day.
