This is the time of year that we stop and reflect on the many things for which we are thankful. Words like “thanks” and “thankful” may get lost in our busy, and at times distracting nature of our daily lives.
Often synonyms help us think about words in different ways. Our thesaurus provides a whole list for “thankful,” “glad,” “blissful,” “delighted,” “joyful,” “happy,” and yes believe it or not “tickled.”
The Saugus Union School District is very “thankful” for the children that are learning and growing in our schools each day, “glad” for the strong partnerships that we have with our parents, and “blissful” with the support of our community that embraces the importance of an excellent elementary education for all children. We are “delighted” that our students are showing tremendous academic and personal success throughout the schools in the district. We are “joyful” for the dedication of our teachers and school employees who work tirelessly to meet the needs and ensure the safety of our students each day.
Our students’ words truly represent what we are “thankful and happy” for and what “tickles” them reminds us to pause a moment, look around and enjoy all that we have. During this Thanksgiving season we remember the many reasons we have to be thankful and express our thankfulness to the many individuals who make our Saugus Union School District community.
