The Celebrity Waiter Dinner is a major fundraiser for the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center which is happening on February 21, at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. This fun event includes dinner at themed tables where you are served by local community figures, live band music, and a program led by an enthusiastic emcee. There are also both live and silent auctions where you have a chance to bid on unique items and services that have been generously donated.
Visiting Angels works with seniors who are living in their own homes in our community and we constantly recognize how vital the services provided by the SCV Senior Center are to several of our beloved clients and their family and friends. There are many seniors in our town who have challenges obtaining nutritious food regularly. The Senior Center home delivered meals not only meets their nutritional needs, but also ensures that they have a regular visitor who is checking on their welfare. Another valuable services provided by the senior center is an affordable day program for seniors who may not be safe home alone due to the effects of Alzheimer’s or other dementia. The center also provides meals, services and classes at their location with opportunities for seniors to socialize and enhance their lives.
The Senior Center relies on the funds generated by the Celebrity Waiter Dinner and Auction to provide vital services to a vulnerable population right here in the Santa Clarita.
