The March winds blow in that slightly anxious feeling that the end of the school year is within reaching distance. People start to make plans for the summer and even the fall. But if you have a small one just ready to start his or her school career, it can be an even more stressful and emotional time.

There’s nothing like the pride that comes with realizing that your baby is growing up. That the one who so completely depended on you for everything is now striking out on his own – or at least trying to! But it can also feel a bit overwhelming. When did my baby start saying “no”? Why doesn’t he listen? What will happen if she acts out at school? What if she’s not ready?
These are all valid questions that go through our minds as parents, but you can rest assured that if you find the right place, a place like CBS Preschool, it will be a second home for your child with a staff of caring and knowledgeable people there to help your little one take his next step forward.
Let me tell you, as a parent (three times over) at CBS, there’s still nothing like that awe you feel when you realize how well your child listens and participates with the class. I know when I drop off my daughter she will be well taken care of, but more than that, will learn, play, and experience age appropriate tasks in a way that builds her confidence and maturity. Yes, she’s still two! But the difference between now and the beginning of the year is amazing and I know she isn’t the only one.
If you’re going through those feelings of conflict, confusion, or excitement about starting your little one in school, make an appointment to tour CBS and talk to our amazing director, Carol Bloom at 661-254-2411.
