Since it’s opening in 2013, Newhall Refinery has served food and beer with the upmost care, priding themselves on an original experience for their guests. Everything from the turning pipes on the ceiling, the pickle jars softly illuminated with Edison style light bulbs, the original corrugated iron displayed behind the taps window, to the custom artwork and open kitchen, it’s all about detail and keeping it local at Newhall Refinery. It’s also about the craft of fine food and beer.
Pleasing to the eye and also the taste buds, Newhall Refinery, owners Simon and Shannon Mee, are a proud farm-to-table restaurant, serving the finest local produce and meats available. The Mees are no stranger to the community with their successful restaurant, Egg Plantation, also located in Newhall, serving the best tasting, most original omelets around for decades.
Executive Chef Dustin Boole joins the team at Newhall Refinery. Born and raised in southern California, he brings a wealth of experience to the restaurant, focusing on keeping ingredients “as local as possible, with sustainability at the forefront of each decision of product”. With that in mind, Boole uses all natural premium beef, organic free-range poultry, and fresh fish sourced using seafood watch.
“To have such a passionate and skilled team is what makes all of the magic come together to create an exciting atmosphere,” says Chef Boole. “The beauty of the open expo kitchen is that the public is able to see and experience the level of passion and pride taken in each dish right before their eyes.”
Newhall Refinery’s distinctive menu embodies the respect and passion they have for originality, all menu items including desserts are created in house from scratch and pair perfectly with our extensive specialty craft beers and wines.
