• What is your initial feeling? Is the center warm and loving? Do you feel that the teachers are passionate about caring for infants and toddlers? Does the potential caregiver interact with your child? Is your child at ease while visiting?
• What is your overall feel of the center and the classroom? Is it clean and inviting?
• How is the communication between parents and teachers? You should know how your child’s day was, as they are not able to tell you just yet what they did or how they ate and slept.
• Do the babies get to go outside? Even if they do not know how to crawl or walk, outside fresh air is essential for development in all ages.
• Structure of the day: what is the curriculum plan and how it is implemented? Is your child going to get one-on-one time with the teacher, and how often.
