Start your holidays with the festive Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Annual Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, December 1, 2007, where three stunning Westridge homes will be professionally decorated in the season’s finest.
The theme? “A Heritage Holiday,” which is a nod to the cherished traditions that help make up a family’s “heritage,” with the added symbolism of the Heritage Oaks for which Westridge is known.
David and Terri Slone’s Mediterranean-style home will be decorated by Lisa Duncan, with a theme of “A Holiday to Remember,” while the traditional Tuscan residence of Michael and Molly Serrao will be decorated by Billie Hubbard and Susan Armstrong in “A Bella Christmas.” Rounding out the tour is the Spanish-style Tuscan home of Martin Avila and Fredye Gonzales, which will be decorated by Gonzales as “Its A Wonderful Life.”
“I think the tour attendees are going to be very excited about the homes we’ve chosen for this year’s Home Tour,” said Home Tour event coordinator Laura Chesler. “While all the homes are in the Valencia community of Westridge, each one brings something unique to the tour, from breathtaking views to amazing architectural details. Combined with the talented decorators we have on board, it’s going to make for an event that can’t be missed.”
The Home Tour is open to all adults and children over 12 years of age between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007. Tour tickets are $25 if purchased before December 1 and $30 if purchased at the Boutique or at any of the featured homes on the day of the Home Tour.
An annual Holiday Boutique will take place in conjunction with the tour at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Assembly Hall in Newhall on December 1, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will include clothing, handcrafted artwork, holiday décor, jewelry, and gift items. Complimentary refreshments will be served in the “hospitality” room adjacent to the boutique as Henry Mayo’s way of thanking the community for its support throughout the year. Proceeds from the tour and boutique will benefit the hospital’s Women’s Services Unit.
