While chilled cocktail concoctions may pair up well with the summer heat, most of us still turn to our trusty favorite for the summer months…red wine.
As the summer months are in full swing, red wine may not seem like your ordinary refreshment, but there are several ways you can enjoy the reds in the summer months.
Choose an unaoked or lightly oaked red…the lighter, the fruitier, the much more refreshing. Lighter bodied wines are said to be more invigorating than full-bodied wines and chilling your wine for 20 to 30 minutes before serving also adds a more refreshing taste.
Pulchella Winery Tasting Room offers a variety of reds along with many other wines to choose from. Winemakers Steve Lemley and Nate Hasper teamed up to create one of the SCV’s most sought after wine, and you can experience their creations firsthand at Pulchella Winery Tasting Room, which is located along Main Street in the Heart of downtown Newhall.
Open Thursday through Saturday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. indulge in the tastes of hand crafted, ultra-premium wines including Grenache, Syrah, Rhone Blends, Cabernet, Zinfandel and more. In a warm and cozy environment, the Pulchella Winery Tasting Room not only boasts fine wine but a laid back atmosphere with plenty of room to enjoy a glass or bottle. Take your love for wine outdoors on their private patio, which is also available for larger groups or private events. Both the tasting room and patio are available for private events during the days that that are not regularly open to the public. Though food is not served at Pulchella Tasting Room, they welcome customers to bring in their own food or order takeout from one of the many restaurant establishments within walking distance.
