Owner Amrik Singh strives to serve quality authentic Indian food and provide above-and-beyond service to residents in the Santa Clarita Valley. While living in India, the Singh family ran a restaurant before moving to the United States to manage a restaurant in Beverly Hills.
As more of Amrik’s family joined him, the family decided to pool their culinary talents and open a restaurant. His nephew Bittu had been a chef at Karma for six years, while nephew Sukhi worked at East India Grill in Los Angeles and Mitta worked at Mantra in Corona for six years. With their combined experience in the restaurant industry, they opened Royal Tandoor in Saugus on July 4, 2014.
Since opening day, Amrik and his family have set out to bring their authentic, unique flavors to Santa Clarita valley residents. They serve everything from chicken to lamb tikka, vegetarian dishes, curries, samosas, kabobs and dessert. Everything is made from scratch daily using pure vegetable oil and spices from India. And of course, there’s the tandoor, a cylindrical clay oven where food is cooked over charcoal, which makes the food taste truly one of a kind.
To wash down those delicious meals, Royal Tandoor offers a full bar with everything from Indian beers (Taj Mahal, Kingfisher, Flying Horse), as well as, top of the line liquor and wines, to Indian whiskey with a sweet molasses flavor. A complete happy hour menu will soon be providing Indian drinks and more at a special rate.
If you are craving something hot and spicy, or maybe looking to try something different, Royal Tandoor offers something for everyone. They offer specials such as their daily lunch buffet and brunch specials, as well as a special menu from their chef with recommendations and new entrées to try!
Stop in Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., or Sundays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
