This fall, start your weekends off with a song! If you would like to return to singing, or have sung your entire life, join the new Santa Clarita Encore Chorale. Enjoy weekly rehearsals of music you will learn and perform for your friends and family. No audition is necessary. The cost is $130 inclusive of the music, conductor, and accompanist for 13 rehearsals and a performance.Â
The Encore program, for adults age 55 and up, is a learning and enjoyable experience. Rehearsals for the fall season begin on Friday, September 18, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Newhall Church of the Nazarene, 23857 The Old Road in Newhall.
Encore has 17 non-profit chorales on the East Coast serving more than 800 singers, and is the largest choral singing program for adults age 55 and up in the U.S. Santa Clarita is one of six affiliate chorales nation-wide. You will practice under the professional leadership of Jim Ellfeldt, a choral music director in high schools, churches, and a former member of the L.A.
