It is that time of the year again! It’s time for one of the best parties in the Santa Clarita Valley, all while benefiting our SCV Senior Center and their Adult Day Care Respite Program. The “Celebrity Waiter Dinner” will be held at the Hyatt Grand Ballroom on the evening of Friday, February 22, 2008 with a theme of “Viva Las Vegas.” With the generous support of local businesses and community members, this costumed-themed event is one of the largest annual fund raisers for our Senior Center and table sponsorships are still available! The evening includes a live auction, entertainment by the Center Theater Group, as well as local musicians and entertainers. And this year we are very fortunate to have as our special guest star, Jazz musician Everette Harp, who’s CD “In the Moment” debuted at number one on Billboards Smooth Jazz charts!
Santa Clarita has been named one of the most senior friendly communities in the nation and it is events like this that help make that distinguished designation occur. The supportive services provided by our Senior Center allows moms, dads and all seniors the ability to age in peace. The Adult Day Care Respite Program and the Home Delivered Meals Program are just two of many services available, as well as the many activities and fellowship that take place their each day. It is my privilege to co-chair this great event with our Mayor of Santa Clarita, Bob Kellar.
