weSPARK Cancer Support Center proudly announces its grand opening to celebrate our initiation into this wonderful community.  We will be having a ribbon-cutting ceremony along with opportunity drawings and refreshments.
weSPARK Cancer Support Center is a special place dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients, their families and friends.  Wendie Jo Sperber, an actress and single mother of two, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997.  She realized that the most difficult part of her healing would be fought on the emotional front.  Thanks to her incredible passion and determination, she created the first non-medical cancer support center for the San Fernando Valley, weSPARK.

weSPARK is a safe haven for those people affected by cancer.  Its professional family is dedicated, compassionate and eager to connect with you as an individual as well as part of a group.  They are here to help you give and receive emotional support, joy and comfort during this difficult journey.  Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful people can make a difference because that is what happens inside our weSPARK home.

Coming to weSPARK is like visiting a cozy cottage.  Sit on our comfortable sofa, have a cup of tea, relax and rejuvenate your soul.  weSPARK provides support groups, yoga and guided imagery for our guests free of charge.  Learn how to relieve stress and anxiety, reduce feelings of fear, depression and isolation and facilitate feelings of relaxation and wellbeing.  To join, schedule an intake where you will have the opportunity to tell your story and discuss your specific circumstances in a warm and caring environment.

We are thrilled to keep Wendie Jo’s dream alive.  We invite you to drop by on February 21st between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to see our facility, meet weSPARK’s dedicated staff, help us celebrate our grand opening and begin our future in your community.
