For most of her career, Eileen Zeiger worked in film and wanted to do something with the Healing Arts. Midway through her coursework in Acupuncture school, she was diagnosed with cancer and needed to withdraw. Trying to cheer her up, a professor told her that “going through this experience would give her an advanced degree in being a patient.” She also had the opportunity to receive some complementary and integrative medicine and witnessed first-hand how these treatments helped her survive her cancer journey.
