Since the Feds cut the interest rate 1 1/4 points in the last few weeks, it may be a good time to use some of your equity money to remodel your kitchen.
If you’re planning on completing your project by the end of summer, you really need to be meeting with your kitchen designer now.  Usually the planning and design phase takes a couple of months until you get to the point where you can sign a contract and order your products.  From that time, it takes another 5-12 weeks for the cabinets to arrive — depending on your selections.  Cabinet manufacturers have different lead times. The semi-custom cabinetry has a much shorter lead time than the full custom cabinetry.

The actual process of tearing out and remodeling the kitchen takes us about eight weeks to complete.  This would be for a kitchen without moving walls.  A more complex kitchen would take 10 to 12 weeks.  The only way we can stick to our schedule is by guiding you through the design process and the selection of all your products up front.  I know it seems overwhelming at first, but it gets easier with each decision you make.  We really hold your hand and help you through the decision making — so the actual remodeling process goes smoothly.  This also allows us to create a detailed schedule so that you know who is coming each day and what is happening.  We usually have the schedule published a minimum of one month before the tearout process begins.  I know it may sound “too good to be true” — but we actually do stick to our published schedule.  You can check this out by calling any of our customers.  We have a long list of previous clients that would be happy to talk to you.
