I’ve received thousands of letters over the years from people who have achieved their goal on the Lindora weight loss program.  There is a common thread that inevitably weaves through every letter.  The success achieved by those who have written them is never accidental.  It’s intentional.  People who succeed in losing weight make a conscious choice and then commit themselves to accomplishing their goal.
We live in an era in which many people see themselves as less powerful than they truly are.  It has become commonplace to relinquish responsibility and see life as something that happens to us rather than as a journey over which we have enormous influence.  Yet, with rare exception, the lives we live — and the bodies we live in — are a direct result of the choices we’ve made.  Healthier choices equal healthier results.

Nowhere is this simple truth more evident than in France.  It’s a country renowned for fabulous food, and the French revel in delicious gourmet meals.  Yet if you walk through Paris, you’ll notice a much smaller percentage of overweight people than you’ll see in virtually any American city.  There’s a reason this is true: the French, with rare exception, choose quality over quantity.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about dining in America.  Thanks to oversized restaurant servings and fast-food super-sized portions, many of us have a skewed concept of how much food we actually need.  A typical restaurant steak, for example, is triple the size of a USDA serving.  This matters because studies show adults consume 30 percent more food when served larger portions.  We tend to eat what we’re served.

Every day, we each have the opportunity to make healthier choices.  Choosing one less soft drink and one more glass of water as well as one less escalator and one more flight of stairs.  Over time, these seemingly insignificant choices add up to noticeable results.  If we want our lives to be different, we need to make a choice to do things differently.

What aspects of your body, your health, or your life would you most like to change?  What would it take to accomplish those changes?  Are you ready and willing to make the commitment and invest the time, effort and energy necessary to make your good life even better?  The choice is yours.
