I have read many articles lately about how nice Microsoft’s new operating system Vista is.  Bill Gates has even been on the road promoting his company’s latest and greatest OS.  What’s odd to me is that even more articles seem to be written about how Vista isn’t as great as Microsoft might want you to believe.  One article even calls the Vista upgrade process a fiasco.

Is this really the best thing Microsoft has to offer its customers?  Is Vista really that groundbreaking?  Are all the new features in Vista really revolutionary?  Many people say no.  Apple Inc.’s OSX operating system has had most of the new Vista features for years now.  Some people point out that Vista is a cheap imitation of Mac OSX.

A Mac offers much more to computer users than ever before.  Aside from all the positives like iLife, no viruses, lots of included software and the much heralded ease of use, you can also run Windows on your Mac.

Running Windows on your Mac is easy and elegant.  For those that have to run Windows because of a program or a game, speed isn’t sacrificed when running it on the Mac.  Windows runs on a Mac exactly as it would on a PC, most of the time it runs better and faster.

To run Vista on a PC, many computers will need an upgrade just to meet the minimum requirements.  Also, most of the programs and peripherals will need to be updated to work with Vista.  If your PC falls into this category, I have a suggestion.  Get a Mac and save yourself the headache.  If you are already thinking of upgrading your PC this year to run Vista, there is no better time for you to get a Mac.  Once you get a Mac in your hands you’ll be saying what many others have said, I should have done this a long time ago.
