After starting their practice from scratch 10 years ago, Dr. Rose Kim and Dr. Kathy Mulcahey of Valencia Children’s Dental Group have moved their practice to a new and expanded facility. They are now located at 27885 Smyth Drive in Valencia.  Their practice, specializing in Pediatric Dentistry and Comprehensive Orthodontics, has been steadily growing over the years.  “The people in Santa Clarita have provided us a wonderful opportunity to grow in such a family-oriented community,” says Dr. Mulcahey.  “It has been such a privilege to be a part of the healthy development of our patients.  We love helping our patients’ smiles!”
Part of their success arises from their practice and life philosophy.  Both doctors are committed to creating a safe and caring environment for all of their patients while performing a high level of quality care.  Along with their highly trained and dedicated staff, Dr. Kim and Dr. Mulcahey strive to provide positive dental experiences for all of their patients.  “We believe that a great dental experience when someone is young creates an adult who is more aware of his or her own oral health and who is more likely to seek care,” Dr. Mulcahey states.  Having six children between them, they truly understand the value of compassion and patience with children.

Both Dr. Kim and Dr. Mulcahey specialize in pediatric dentistry using the latest developments in technology and science.  In addition, Dr. Mulcahey’s dual specialty in orthodontics allows her to treat both children and adults with many of the latest advances available for orthodontic treatment, including self-legating brackets, clear ceramic braces and Invisalign

Their new facility is designed to even better serve the needs of their patients.  The eye-pleasing architecture, beautiful color palette and large aquarium are just a few things that promote a calming environment.  Their use of digital x-ray technology and a fully equipped, state-of-the-art sterilization area demonstrates that the protection of their patients is also a high priority.  But the smiles from the doctors and staff are what truly make the practice special.

“It is our hope that this move will increase our ability to provide care for the families in our practice for a long time to come,” says Dr. Mulcahey.  “We can hardly wait to start seeing the children of some of our patients!”
