CWG-USA announced its new Filtersorb SP3 catalytic water conditioner media for hard water scale prevention.  The salt-less resin media works with a ceramic catalytic surface.  Once hard water contact occurs on the surface of the media in the water conditioner you have the formation of Nano calcium crystals.  These calcium crystals are now out of solution and cannot attach to any surface in the service water stream.  This applies to pipes and reverse osmosis membranes.  This catalytic reaction works with cold as well as hot water.  The formation of Nano sized calcium crystals are rinsed away from the water conditioner by the water flow going through your home.

The calcium crystals, which are rinsed away by the service water flow cannot attach to any surfaces.  The calcium crystals that have been formed and are flowing through the water stream binds additional deposits of calcium and therefore breaks down the grid structure of the calcium deposits inside of old pipes that have calcium formed before using the salt-less resin.  The result is that even after a short time, old calcium deposits in the service line are removed.  The process continues until the surface of the pipes is free from deposits.

The Nano crystals, having removed the old calcium deposits in the water pipes in your home, now form a protective 30 to 80 micron thick corrosion preventing layer inside the pipes.  This layer forms because of the reaction of the Nano surface of the calcium crystal and the metallic surface inside of pipes.
