Art is an experience. Good art gets you involved because it’s an experience. It allows you to live through an event — to participate in the past, to glimpse the future. Going to a museum you will see exhibits of masterworks from old Europe to the more modern works in a contemporary Museum like the Museum of Modern Art in Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Art Museum. Visiting art museums gives visitors a look at different styles of creativity in creating visual art. Many styles of art are exhibited in an art museum. There will be sculptures made of different materials and sizes. There are opportunities to listen to various kinds of art lectures and art films. Some museums offer art classes for children and adults. Entrance fees as well as memberships can be offered for all ages. Art is for everyone and visiting an art museum makes the experience very personal and meaningful to see original art exhibited and identified. If you have not taken your children to an Art Museum plan to do this as soon as you can. There are many art museums in Southern California. The experience of going to visit an art museum will show the viewers the different ways artists portray a landscape or a portrait, buildings, water, animals and people. Looking at how different artists use color to create an environment and put shapes together to create a picture are all what is so exciting to see. Artists have many ways by which they organize, pattern, and shape; they use many elements of design, like: light, space, line, texture and color. After visiting an art museum and seeing the different kinds of art on exhibit the experience will make your mind dance with ideas or thoughts. Take time to discuss the feelings you have about your visit to an art museum. Plan to visit different kinds of art museums and learn what each art museum has for you to see. Have fun and enjoy yourself.
