Christ Lutheran Church, Santa Clarita, will be hosing the 4th Annual Soul Satisfaction, “Extravagant Grace: Discovering the Untamed Love of God” on January 26 and 27. Renowned author Brennan Manning will be the keynote speaker. His book, Ragamuffin Gospel, has been a spiritual inspiration to people from all walks of life and from all corners of the world. Brennan encourages men and women everywhere to accept and embrace the good news of God’s unconditional love in Jesus Christ.
The weekend will begin on Friday evening with fellowship and the first of four sessions of Brennan’s keynote, “Healing Our Image of God and Ourselves.” The keynote continues on Saturday. Participants also have the opportunity to select one of five workshops that are being offered. Facilitators include: Pastor Glen Egertson of El Camino Pines Camp; Pastor Dana Hanson of first Lutheran Church; Pastor Bob Rognlien of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd; Eric Koch, Spiritual Director; and Andy Bales, President, Union Rescue Mission. The day concludes with afternoon worship.
You are also invited to return for services on Sunday for Brennan’s sermon “The Overwhelming Love of God.”
This is a weekend that you won’t want to miss. The cost is $25, which includes a continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
