As a medically retired deputy sheriff, I have been treated by numerous doctors over the last four years. Unfortunately, my condition continued to worsen. Not only was I in a great deal of pain, I had no energy and at times very depressed.
Luckily, I met Dr. Unruh one day while training at the gym. I liked what he had to say, so I gave him a chance. Even though I had seen four other chiropractors with no major improvement, I knew in my heart that chiropractic medicine was the treatment that was going to help me eventually.
My conditions are serious torn neck ligaments, a broken tail bone, severe nerve obstructions in my neck, shoulder and hand areas, soft tissue damage and degenerated discs, numbness throughout sever parts of my body, daily headaches and fibromyalgia.
Without Dr. Unruh’s treatment I can honestly say that I don’t know where I would be today. He has helped me in so many ways. He is truly a doctor that really cares about your health and constantly goes out of his way to make you better. His staff has always been very personable and professional. They make you feel very at home and care for.

I know I told you this today after treatment, but I feel so great! Wow! What a difference. My threshold for pain must be pretty high for I didn’t think a rib was out. I really thought I pulled something. I went for a run tonight and what a difference. You rock! Thanks for all you do. –D.D.
Recently I visited Dr. Unruh’s office after an hour-long dental appointment with a bite block in. I could only open my mouth as wide as a piece of toast, and that was painful. As a result, I was unable to chew or eat anything much more than soup.
A friend told me that she had the same pain after an extended dental appointment, and it took her several months for the pain to recede.
I had been coming to Dr. Unruh for rehab, manipulation and therapies to my back, which tremendously helped. About the time I began having the TMJ problems, Dr. Unruh acquired a new high power laser therapy. I tried it, and after only two treatments I can eat apples again! The high power laser therapy (HPLT) is painless and takes only a few minutes. It felt like warm sunshine on my face.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November of 2007. The planned procedure for me was surgery, seven weeks of radiation therapy, followed by five years of a drug that suppresses the production of estrogen in the ovaries. I had the surgery in December and with much reservation, proceeded with the radiation therapy. Knowing that I did not want to take the hormone therapy, I proceeded to seek out a nutritional approach. In February of 2008, I came in contact with Dr. Unruh. My exam and evaluation showed that my body was in an unhealthy and dangerous condition due mostly to the radiation therapy. Because of Dr. Unruh’s credentials and knowledge of nutrition and the human body, I decided to put my health in his care. He designed a nutritional protocol especially for my needs. In less than six months, my damaged cells have improved greatly. Each of my follow up visits show progress. Dr. Unruh and I are very pleased.
I am dedicated to eating healthy for the rest of my life. At age 58, I feel great and am energetic. To eat healthy is a challenge these days, but it is a must if we want to maintain good health. One side effect I must mention – I have lost over 20 pounds just by changing the way I eat!

I have been in the construction business for over thirty years, so I’ve always had some back pain. However, the last six months have been unbearable with constant pain. At times the pain was so bad I couldn’t get out of bed or out of my truck once I got to work.
I tried painkillers and epidurals but they only provided temporary relief. MRIs showed a bulging disc in my L4-L5. The neurosurgeon refused to do surgery saying the risks were greater than the benefit. He said pain pills were my only hope.
One of my co-workers had been seeing Dr. Unruh for some time and he never complains of back pain anymore. He said he just gets an adjustment and decompression on a regular basis and he is pain free. He also gave me some stretches and exercises that helped. I was able to make it through without any pain pills.
After a few weeks my pain was not as severe. I hadn’t even noticed until someone mentioned I wasn’t complaining about my back anymore. I noticed that my upper back and neck were a lot looser and ache free. It has now been three months and I am pain free. Dr. Unruh has me doing rehab exercises to specifically strengthen my back and neck. He says that like my co-worker, regular adjustments and treatment will help prevent me from ever returning to the point of horrible pain. In November 2005 I was in a fender bender. I had never experienced headaches before but soon after the accident I started getting migraines. I wasn’t even able to get out of bed. I was nauseas, sensitive to light and noise; sometimes I even had to lock myself in the closet. Dr. Unruh told me that there was pressure on the nerve root that was causing the migraines. I have to say that after the adjustment my migraines were almost gone instantly. I never knew that chiropractic could help with headaches/migraines.
