Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Offers Free Health Screenings
In the midst of seasonal celebrations, it can be difficult to maintain a heart-healthy lifestyle. To help, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital is offering free health screenings during their “Care for Your Heart” Health Fair on Friday, December 12.
Henry Mayo’s “Care for Your Heart” health fair features a variety of information on healthy lifestyle habits. Healthcare professionals will be on hand to answer questions and provide health education materials, smoking cessation information, and a series of health screenings, including:
• Cholesterol Testing (12-hour fasting recommended)
• Glucose Testing
• Blood Pressure Monitoring
• Height and Weight Analysis
• Body Fat Analysis
• Pulse Oximetry and Carbon Monoxide Measurement
Henry Mayo dieticians will also be on hand to provide heart-healthy dietary tips and strategies for avoiding those extra holiday pounds without shunning the festivities.
The “Care for Your Heart” health fair is held four times during the year. Participants receive a Heart Health Passport and Summary to record and compare test results from previous health fair screenings.
The “Care for Your Heart” Health Fair will take place Friday, December 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Clarita Community Center, 22421 Market Street in Newhall.
