Local Realtor Reverend Harley Malloy is on a mission to spread love and hope for children who are unwanted and disadvantaged. This month, his non-profit organization, Welcome Home Kids Centre, A Cultural Heritage Museum will be holding the first of many free, family day events to be held at the Valencia Spectrum Athletic Club.
For their first event, the charity asks for children six to ten years of age to participate in relay races, craft making, fitness and nutrition games and drawing contests. Future events will offer age-appropriate activities for various other age groups.
“We expect the exhibits, talks, and activities to take the form of having fun. There will be exhibits, arts, crafts, stories and other activities shared from our role models and other successful people, as well as tutorial programs, designed to improve the self esteem we wish to offer our children,” says Malloy.
The goal of the Cultural Heritage Museum is to add quality to the lives of terminally ill, orphaned, abandoned children, foster children and others in order to add quality to their lives thereby preserving their dignity.
“We invest in ourselves by investing in our children, our future in our society,” says Malloy.
The first Cultural Heritage Museum event will be held on Saturday, May 19th from 2:30-4:30 at the Valencia Spectrum Athletic Club, 24525 Town Center Drive, Valencia, 91355.
Welcome Home Kids Centre is a Non-Profit Organization, 501c3, a ministry of the AIOCC, Non-Profit Tax ID #: 95-4288121. Spectrum Athletic Clubs is a for-profit business.
