Reflecting back on past years and looking ahead to what 2009 will bring, I am excited about the ever-growing revolution towards genuine health and am grateful to be a part of something so important. However, there remain many areas in the health arena that desperately need our attention; so, let’s continue on, working together for change in our lives and our community. What will you take a stand for this year?
Below is my wish list for 2009:
1. Removal of junk food in our schools – The rising epidemic of ADD and ADHD, along with behavioral and learning disabilities, has opened our eyes to the importance of diet pertaining to these issues. Unfortunately, schools across America continue to offer lifeless denatured foods in the cafeteria and vending machines. Lifelong eating habits start now. Let’s take a stand and help our children build a healthy foundation.
2. Removal of the poisons in our food – MSG, fluoride, sodium nitrite, partially hydrogenated oils, artificial colors, artificial chemical sweeteners, processed salt, high fructose corn syrup, processed sugar and white flour are all poison to our bodies. Read labels and make informed decisions. Let’s work towards removing these offenders from our food supply.
3. Stop the drugging of our children – This generation is being mass medicated with dangerous psychiatric drugs that can potentially cause violent behavior and suicides. A better solution: let’s feed our children live, non-denatured food, which does not contain the poisons listed above.
4. Clean up the FDA and USDA – These entities are corrupt. Most of those in high positions have alternative agendas. Their primary interests are in supporting the big pharmaceutical companies and not keeping the public healthy and safe. A major shakedown and rebuilding from the inside out is needed.
5. Recognition of alternative health practitioners – chiropractors, herbalists, naturopaths, bodywork practitioners and healing arts providers should be covered by health insurance. It’s time for the AMA to embrace the future of medicine.
6. Health freedom – All of us should have the right to choose how we want to be medically treated and by whom. Food for thought: What better way to control people than to keep them sick and too tired to care?
