City of Santa Clarita Councilmembers Laurene Weste and Laurie Ender were on hand Monday, December 1 for the swearing-in ceremony for Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich. Supervisor Antonovich was sworn in for an eighth term on the Board of Supervisors representing the County’s Fifth Supervisorial District, which includes the City of Santa Clarita.
The Los Angeles County Fifth District is home to nearly two million people in 24 cities and 66 unincorporated areas including all or parts of the Antelope, Crescenta, Pomona, San Fernando, San Gabriel and Santa Clarita Valleys.
“It is my pledge to you that in my eighth term, I will continue to make public safety my number one priority and fight for efficient, responsive County government to improve the quality of life for all County residents,” said Antonovich.
Michael Reagan, eldest son to President Ronald Reagan, talk show host and best-selling author, served as Master of Ceremonies for the swearing-in ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by Supervisor Antonovich’s colleagues, family and supporters.
