Chances are, if you live in the Santa Clarita Valley, you’ll run into a film crew or see some signs for film production around town. You may even see a familiar place when you watch a movie or television show. Why? Because filming in the Santa Clarita is up. Television shows such as HBO’s “Big Love,” CBS’s “NCIS” and “The Unit” is filmed out here. FX’s “The Riches” has also filmed in Santa Clarita.
If you’ve been on Sierra Highway or Soledad Canyon Road near Whites Canyon, you may have seen the filming of NBC’s ”Knight Rider.” The iconic 1980’s television classic, reinvented, was seen filming out here. Actor Justin Bruening, stars in the television series.
Scenes for CBS’s “Eleventh Hour” were filmed at Central Park. The television series is an adaptation of British thriller following Dr. Jacob Hood, a science adviser saving people from the abuses of scientific experiments gone wrong.
Singing his sweet tunes was Josh Gracin, seen at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at the College of the Canyons. Josh was part of a COC acoustical holiday concert held in December. Santa Clarita residents Chris Camplin and Casey Rowley snapped a shot with the country singer. Josh is a former member of the United States Marine Corps, but gained attention as a finalist on the second season of “American Idol.” Josh has since produced a number one hit, and two more top five hits on Billboard Hot Country Songs.
