VIBE has been host to A-List Agents for over 12 years. Exposing our students to the best agents, managers and casting directors in the industry is a critical part of an actors’ training. We showcase actors when agents are looking! In winter (Pilot Season) and spring, we present students ready to audition. With a three-level acting curriculum, we make sure you and your child know what to expect before exposing you to the best.
Under our encouragement and training, actors start at beginning level “Discover Acting” classes, giving them a firm foundation from which to grow and develop. Once completed, they advance to classes like “Biz Kidz,” “Screen Teens” or “Master Class.” The quickest way to sign with an A-plus agent is by performing in a showcase. Most commonly those who attend our showcases say how very well prepared our actors are. Literally, hundreds of our students have been signed from our showcases. We have defined a standard of preparation that is a tremendously important thing for this industry.
Not only have we been voted the number one acting studio in Santa Clarita this year, Children in Film lists our Acting Instructor, Diane Christiansen, the “Number One Rated Coach in Hollywood” in 2008 and 2009. Actors Access named her one of the “Top Three Coaches in Hollywood” for three years.
It’s also been a stellar year for our student Spencer Daniels, 15, for his role in 13-time Academy Award nominated film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, playing the 12-year-old version of the title character. Diane has coached Spencer at VIBE since the age of 9.
Another outstanding young actress, currently in Diane’s “Master Class” is Shelbie Bruce, 16, who you may remember in her award-winning role as the daughter in Spanglish. Diane’s alumni include David Henrie, Wizards of Waverly Place, Kay Panabacher, Monsters, Inc., Danielle Panabacher, Shark, Malcolm David Kelly, LOST, Amy Bruckner Phil, The Future, Joy Lauren, Desperate Housewives, Joey Luthman, Weeds, Kate Melton, Scoobie Doo, Jessica Stone, Stanley, Jillian Hill, Bambi 2, Jason Dolley, Suite Life, Kelly Nish, Entourage, Daniel Samonas, Hannah Montana, and Field Cate, Pushing Daisies to name a few.
