“We’re all just coming together after having established practices here in the Santa Clarita Valley for years,” says Dr. Kelly Smudde who has practiced dentistry with her husband Allen since she graduated from dental school ten years ago.
Smudde is referring to the coming together of dentists of all disciplines at the new Gateway Medical Suites.
“We needed a more modern, elite state-of-the-art office and the building is perfect for our patients now. We really are now a one-stop service for all of our patients needs,” says Smudde.
For Dr. Paul Schoenbaum, the move to the new building is a mixed blessing. He had practiced dentistry for nearly two decades in the SCV and in December the space he shared with his brother was destroyed by fire.
“You have to just think that bad things happen for a good reason,” says Schoenbaum who says his staff is very excited about moving into the new clean space. He calls it a dream.
Eleven dentists, representing every specialty will be tenants in the new building including: Dr. Jack Wasserstein, Dr. Dean Lang, Dr. Bernard Chang, Dr. Steven Arima, Drs. Kelly and Allen Smudde, Dr. Paul Schoenbaum, Dr. Virginia Hughson-Otte, Dr. Andy Tran, Dr. Esther Cho, Dr. Chris Ezzat and Dr. Lawrence Amelang.
