It is with great joy that we invite you to join us at Valencia United Methodist Church this Easter and in the days ahead! We are a community of Christ-followers with a solid foundation, full of hope for tomorrow and a family of faith with a vision to be a place where lives are continuously transformed through Jesus Christ.
We are a community where we celebrate all people and where we are working together to find and use the gifts God has given us! Youth, parents and grandparents, toddlers and children, single adults and young adults fill our church with energy, laughter and wisdom. Together we serve God through personal relationships, service to our community and outreach to the world.
Our community is enriched as we join with one another in Christian unity. We believe the church belongs to God and that the church is the body of Christ. The church is to be the physical presence of Christ in the world. As such, our primary aim is to do God’s will. We believe God has called our corner of McBean to be a corner of hope in which we will live out our mission statement to invite all people, nurture them with Christ’s love and the word of God and send them out to serve others.
United Methodists hold to the historic doctrines of the Christian faith. We have a passionate faith with strong convictions, but we also recognize that the world is not always black and white. We are willing to ask questions, to wrestle with difficult issues, and to do this with grace and compassion.
Methodists have been known for our emphasis on a personal faith, lived out in concrete ways in the world. We have historically valued well-informed and passionate preaching, worship that was lively, and small groups where people could grow in faith.
We invite you to join us for a message of Hope this Easter at one of our three services: 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. (we are located on the corner of McBean Pkwy across from Henry Mayo Hospital).
