With all that is going on in the world, our country, our state, the economy, our society, illnesses, diseases, and our own life, it can all get a little overwhelming.  It is not surprising we may not want to watch the news as it just adds to our anxiety.  Then we may second-guess ourselves, as friends or family may be so on top of all that is going on in the news.  They may even question us as to why we don’t watch the news as we need to be informed.
Yes, we do need to be informed, but do we really need to hear all the negative news on a daily basis?  Do we really need to hear a blow-by-blow description of how bad things are in the world, our economy, etc.?  In my opinion there is a lot of anxiety or fear in the world, and we need to protect ourselves from getting affected by these fears.

Sometimes life is very difficult just on its own without us hearing about outside woes.  Hearing the negative from the outside feeds into our own anxiety, which makes it harder for us, to stay positive and happy.  So, turn off the news and focus on the good that is flowing through your life.  Be grateful for what you do have, and know that life goes on, and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes, we do need to be aware of what is going on in society and our economy so that we can prepare ourselves, but we do not want to get into the fear or worrisome “what ifs.”  You can always check things out on the computer and read what we want or need to know.  This way we have control over what we see and hear.  We need to look at ourselves, our lifestyle, our spending habits, and see what we may have learned from all that is happening in our country today.  We can still plan and visualize our life the way we want, even if, at this time, it may seem like a fantasy.  Just go ahead and visualize what you want and always say to yourself “I accept this good into my life and greater good if it is for my highest good.”
