The long-awaited Taste of the Town 2009 is finally here!  Child & Family Center is thrilled to offer the 21st annual festival of gourmet delights on Sunday, May 3 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the lush Mann Biomedical Park in Valencia.
Presenting sponsor, The Bank of Santa Clarita, is joined by 38 other sponsors, who together have made it possible to offer reduced pricing for guests during these challenging economic times.  Reserved Seating is $85 dollars and General Admission is $50.  On the day of the event, only General Admission is available at the price of $65.  On-line purchasing is available through Thursday, April 30 at www.tasteofthetown.com

Mann Biomedical Park will once again be transformed into a fabulous and fun venue for strolling leisurely along the chef’s displays and the wine stations that meander over the beautiful lawn.  Next, learn some cooking tips from six of the hottest chefs in Santa Clarita, whose top chef skills will be “on exhibition.”  Throughout your sipping and sampling, you’ll be entertained by the incredible live music of Mark LeVang and Friends as well as The Valli Boys, who pay musical homage to Frankie Valli.  And if all that music and food isn’t enough, you’ll be able to shop at a spectacular Silent Auction and take your chances for a Princess Cruises Caribbean or Mexican shipboard holiday and a glittering one-carat diamond with the famous Diamond Drop.

Organizers are excited to bring the community together to attend this adult event in support of the more than 600 children and their parents each week who receive family-centered emotional health services at the Child & Family Center.

Event chairs Debbie and John Heys and Mark and Ginger LeVang invite you to taste your way through a special day of charity with more than 40 of our community’s best purveyors of food and drink.  It’s all you can eat, folks.  After all, this event is all about the food, glorious food!
